It is located in a privileged enclave in the center of this county, just 12 km. of the coast.

The municipality is crossed by the AP-7 (Autopista Alicante-Cartagena), so it is especially well-connected with the capital and the airport, the coast, the Hospital de la Vega Baja, etc.

It enjoys a warm climate favoured by its location on the depression of the Segura and a short distance from the coast.
